Travel Skincare

Must-haves for traveling with your skincare!

The joys of traveling… new locations, experiences, and making fabulous memories. However, traveling can have a pretty negative impact on your skin. I’ve always noticed the dry air on airplanes tends to irritate my skin, leading to what I call “airplane acne”. It’s so important to pack a skincare routine that helps counteract the negative effects travel can have on your skin.

Trying to find a travel skincare routine that works for your skin, complies with TSA regulations (3.4 ounces or smaller if carrying on), and fits in your luggage can be a bit daunting. To help you pack for your next adventure, I’m sharing a few of my favorite travel skincare products, as well as toiletry bags that help maximize your available luggage space.

Brands have made it increasingly easier to prepare for travel, many of them offering sets that are sized within TSA guidelines. Though they might not always be advertised as “travel sets”, many brands have “discovery sets” that can be used as travel sets. When traveling, I try to condense the amount of skincare I bring, so I’ll pick and choose from these sets as needed… packing some and leaving others at home.

I personally have a skincare routine that I love, but have a hard time finding some of the products in sizes that are in compliance with TSA’s guidelines of 3.4 ounces or smaller. A great way to get around that is by transferring your products into travel bottles. There are many great options and sizes, but here are a few that particularly stood out to me!

It’s important to find a toiletry bag that is functional, compact, and aesthetically pleasing and I adore this clear bag. I love that you can easily see everything and it creates ease when trying to locate products.
