The Puppy: My Signature Vodka Cocktail

An Easy and Refreshing Cocktail

You’ve probably heard of a Greyhound cocktail, but allow me to introduce you to its sleek and sophisticated younger sister, The Puppy! Most people have a ‘signature’ something… maybe it’s a scent, style, or dance move. In my case it’s this signature cocktail! I’ve mentioned The Puppy numerous times on stories and podcasts, but this yummy pink drink certainly deserves a permanent spot on the blog!

Though I enjoy it year-round, there’s nothing like this refreshing cocktail on a beautiful spring day. The Puppy is made with the same 2 ingredients as a Greyhound, just prepared and served differently. It couldn’t be easier to make, which is why it’s a staple of mine when hosting! It’s also pretty easy to explain, which makes it a fool-proof restaurant order (my exact request below, LOL)! I hope you love The Puppy as much as I do!

Notes

TIFFY’S TIPS
  • I only use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, it just isn’t the same out of the can. I swear by this citrus press if you’re squeezing your own grapefruit!
  • Use your favorite good quality vodka, I prefer Grey Goose or Tito’s.
  • Serve in a chilled martini glass (stemless or with stem). To get a frosty glass, I run it under water and then place in the freezer for a few minutes.
  • My exact order when ordering at a bar or restaurant: Grey Goose and fresh grapefruit juice, one part to one part, shaken and served martini style.
