Hosting A Graduation Party

A Recap of My Daughter’s 2021 Graduation Party!

For so many, the end of the school year marks the beginning of a fun-filled and much needed summer break. However for those graduating, it marks the conclusion of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. This is such an exciting (and emotional) time of year for graduates and their families. In my opinion, graduating from high school or college is an accomplishment worth celebrating!

When my daughter graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021, I wanted to celebrate her in a fabulous and memorable way… but the question was HOW?! How do you adequately celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of someone who is deserving of the best this world has to offer? With the help of many fabulous vendors, I was able to create what my daughter described as the ‘graduation party of her dreams’, celebrating her accomplishments with family and friends on a day we will never forget. In the spirit of grad season, I thought I would re-share the details from this fabulous day. I hope this gives you inspiration for your graduation celebrations!

Hostess With The Mostest

When hosting, there are basic elements hosts should prepare to include such as food, beverages, desserts, etc. However, when celebrating a milestone such as graduation, typically that list will expand to include elements such as decor, flowers, balloons, etc. This can be a daunting task, so I cannot overstate how helpful it is to bring on vendors to help if possible… but we’ll get to that later! Below are a few of the home and hosting items that I couldn’t have entertained without! To shop, click the ‘+’ sign.

Vendors

As mentioned above, this party wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the fabulous vendors below. They helped me to create the party of my daughter’s dreams with ease, and allowed me to spend as much time as possible truly enjoying and soaking up these moments with Kennedy. They were crucial in creating a well-flowing graduation party that will be remembered by my graduate for years to come.

The Fun Stuff

What better way to celebrate a graduate than with specialty beverages and delightful desserts?? Tiffy Tip! Personalized plastic cups add a fun and personal touch, while minimizing the amount of excess glassware used (makes cleanup much easier)… more on that below! This cocktail added a bit of purple horned frog pride and was a huge hit.

Personal Touches

I will almost always jump at the opportunity to order customized items for a party. We worked with a local vendor to create a custom graduation design for Kennedy’s cups and napkins, but there are so many great options on Etsy. You can go with the classics or use your graduates name and school colors for added school spirit! I’ve created a graphic with some of my favorite options below!

The day truly could not have been any better. Such a special celebration with memories we will cherish for a lifetime. I hope this blog post helps you celebrate the graduates in your life! Pssst… make sure to subscribe to my newsletter for my top graduation gift ideas, coming soon!
