Cashew Coffee Creamer

My Healthy Alternative to Commercial Coffee Creamer!

I’ve loved coffee my entire adult life… the ritual, the flavor, and the energy boost! However, in cutting out unnecessary toxins from my life, I realized it was time to step away from commercial creamers I had been using for so long. After trying what felt like endless different creamer brands with no success, I decided it was time to go the old fashioned way and make my own! You know those recipes that you find and think “where has this been all my life?!”… Well, after testing multiple times, allow me to introduce you to mine! This Cashew Coffee Creamer is truly unlike anything I’ve ever tasted.

A delicious (and healthy) addition to your morning cup of coffee, you can make this recipe as sweet as you want it. My family and friends agree… once you try this recipe, you’ll never go back to commercial creamers! Pair with Purity Coffee (code TIFFANYBLACKMON20 to save), serve in my favorite glass mugs, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashews softened if needed
  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add cashews, water, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender. Cover and blend on HIGH for five minutes or until smooth and creamy. Mixture will be warm so allow it to cool.
  • Pour into a container, cover and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. Shake before using.

Notes

Tiffy’s Tips
~If you are using a high-powered blender, (like Vitamix) this step isn’t necessary. If not, you will need to soften the cashews for a creamy texture. Soften cashews by adding them to a bowl and covering with water. Soak for 6 to 48 hours or until very tender. Drain and rinse before using.
~I always use 1 ¼ cups of water but adjust for desired consistency.
~I use maple syrup for added sweetener but stevia, agave, and dates are excellent choices.
~ Purity Coffee is my favorite health-focused coffee brand. Their delicious mold free coffee makes coffee a healthier habit! 20% off with code TIFFANYBLACKMON20.
~ I store coffee beans in this airtight container and it keeps the beans fresh for much longer.
~ I swear these coffee mugs make everything taste better! High quality mugs that look good and don’t overheat when warm.
