1. Lavender Honey Fizz Cocktail “The Purple Drink”

One of the top 5 recipes you searched it the beautiful “purple drink” from daughter Kennedy’s 2021 TCU graduation party!  The recipe went absolutely wild on TikTok and all my social media platforms. What a hit, perfectly tart and slightly sweet…fabulous!  You MUST go to Herb & Alchemy’s website to snag this amazingly crafted syrup that can be used for so many recipes, check out their website.  For the perfect summer dessert, I LOVE a drizzle of their Herb & Alchemy’s syrups on vanilla bean ice cream, beautifully garnished and ohhhh so good!

Lavender Honey Fizz

Ingredients

1.5 ounces gin

1.5 ounces Herb & Alchemy Honey Syrup

½ ounce fresh lemon juice

3-6 ounces club soda

1.  Combine gin, honey syrup, lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

2.  Shake until chilled.

3.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice.  Top with club soda.

4.  Garnish and serve.

Tiffy’s Tips
~For garnish add fresh or dehydrated lime rounds. I love using Butterfly Pea Flowers for added purple color.
~Who would have thought tequila would play a role in reducing plastic waste? I love these agave straws from Plant Switch.

2. The Classic Caesar Salad

A great Caesar salad recipe gets its divine flavor from the traditional ingredients that are
key to perfect balance. The combination of raw eggs and anchovies often makes people
feel a bit unnerved but know both of these ingredients are key for the recipe flavor
success. If you are nervous about the thought of consuming raw eggs? Always use
pasteurized eggs and coddle using my method in the tips below. Egg yolks impart a
richness like no other to the emulsion of salad dressings. Dislike of anchovies, sorry;
this little fish is a MUST for classic Caesar? Anchovies provide a briny blast of umami
and perfect balance. I typically use only one filet as my hubby has a huge distaste for
anchovies. However, the flavor is so subtle, he never knows as I am careful to not
overpower. I am so happy to share one of my essential recipes.

3. Classic Chicken Salad

Spring is hopefully around the corner and a perfect time to pack a picnic with chicken salad as the star of the show!  I love chicken salad, so simple, so easy and so good!  I have so many variations that I adore but my go to is Classic Chicken Salad.  How you prefer the ingredients of chicken salad, I find is a bit personal for many as the preferences and ingredients are endless.  Try toasted almonds, sliced grapes, green onion, boiled eggs, pineapple and bell pepper.  Dabble with a variety of seasonings, tarragon, salt and pepper to taste, red pepper flakes for a bit of spice?  Serve solo, in a wrap, lettuce leaf or your favorite bread.  Topped with bacon, sliced tomato, sliced avocado…yum!!  Enjoy!

4. Perfectly Skinny Margaritas

I miss the days when I could have a REGULAR margarita. You know the fabulous concoction smoothly pouring out of the machine at your favorite “Cheers” or dining establishment? Rewind about 30 years ago…yes…30, when I was in my 20’s and not a sugar care in the world. As time marched forward I began to not feel so great after a night of a regular margarita consumption filled with a subpar sweet-and-sour mix that is sure to send you home with tummy issues. I had to shift gears. I am just going to put this out there. I am picky…poor bartenders that must deal with me as I am a bartender’s nightmare. I often ask, how is it so difficult to make a margarita, so I developed a recipe that is PERFECT for me, hence the name. My recipe is sweetened naturally and made with fresh juices…NOT too sweet and a balance is key. Enjoy!

5. Let’s Fiesta! Healthy Salsa & Guacamole Recipes

Adapted from my book, 200 Best Panini Recipes
It was possibly in my late 30’s before I was introduced to guacamole…I know, I know…crazy right? After that introduction, I was hooked and now incredibly selective on my guacamole and a true addict. I literally crave guacamole, fresh salsa and chips! I LOVE the flavors and consider this grouping one of my all-time favorites. I enjoy making this creamy concoction, especially adding fresh ingredients and added creaminess of sour cream. I know, not traditional whatsoever but I love the silky texture. Not a fan? Leave it out. Enjoy!!
