This week, I celebrated my 1 year podcast anniversary and knew I wanted to celebrate big…but I didn’t realize just how big. Over the past year, during quarantine, when my team and I had the chance to sit back and evaluate what we were doing and how we could grow, the idea of the new branding and site came into vision. It wasn’t until months later that it came into focus and now that I get to reveal it to you all today, feels like a long time coming and an absolute dream come true. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my anniversary than with this milestone event.

I’ve been blogging/influencing for nearly 2 years now and when I brought my social media manager, Hilary Hamilton, onboard in 2019 she shared with me the importance of having a website. She shared that it is important to own your content and be in control of what and when you share with the world. Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and other social media platforms could be gone tomorrow but a website is forever and you’re in control of what stays and what goes.

Then in early 2020, I brought on Audrie Dollins as my brand manager and she shared with me six reasons why it’s important to blog. A blog can maintain your marketing strategy and structure your relevant content, attract new customers, promote a community around your website and organization, build your reputation in a particular field of interest, help you advertise, and appear more trustworthy to your potential clients. She recently did an entire blog post on this subject which you can find, HERE.

Listen to my podcast episode, “Who Wants to Be an Influencer?” with Audrie and Hilary for more information about what it takes to be an influencer!

All of this to say, I knew it was time to rebrand and restructure as my business grew exponentially in 2020. Amid such a crazy year, I am blessed to not only be standing, but thriving in this industry. I couldn’t have done it without the help from all my family, friends, followers, supporters and precious partners. Thank you ALL!
