I am sure many of you know, I absolutely LOVE hosting events.  A small gathering with friends and family or larger events, hosting truly brings me joy.  As summer approaches, I look forward to hosting and entertaining in our home in Austin, Fort Worth and Cabo.  I cannot wait to shower our family and friends with hospitality.  Sharing how to host and what works best for me when it comes to gatherings with the people I love! There are a few things that are my go to tips for entertaining poolside or indoors: 

1. Florals are a must!  I love coordinating florals with table scapes adding pops of color and details that bring the eye pleasure.  As stated above I used Vivienne and Vine and think their arrangements are amazing. They are truly beautiful and wonderful to use for get togethers if you live in the Dallas Area.

2.  Monogrammed cocktail napkins, paper or cloth depending on the event.  I like to have whimsy, fun napkins for holidays, birthdays and special events.  

3.   When entertaining poolside, absolutely no glass.  There are so many fabulous acrylic drink ware, melamine dishes and stunning paper products that are so impressive.  

4.  Menu design is so important!  Design your menu to reflect seasonal foods, holidays, outdoor entertaining and indoor entertaining.  Always ensure you keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold. I also used My Sweet Roots for this poolside gathering and they did a fantastic job bringing my vision to life!

When all of these things are checked off my list before a social gathering I know I’ve done my part as a host! Don’t complicate things and just keep it simple! Here’s to summer gatherings and being host of the season!
