The Villas at La Cantera Resort and Spa

2020 put a HUGE block in my plans to celebrate my fabulous baby sister, Jill’s 50th! We had dreams and plans to celebrate with hundreds of her family, friends and colleagues then whisk her off to our happy place in Cabo at Las Ventana al Paraíso. However due to Covid, the search was on to find the perfect destination for a girls-only getaway that provided all of the things she wanted to do and how to celebrate. After narrowing down, we choose The Villas at La Cantera Resort and Spa and what a perfect choice! We arrived in San Antonio, greeted with modern luxury combined with hill country heritage.

We chose to stay in the villas for a bit more privacy. Each Villa is inspired by the rich heritage of Texas Hill Country, celebrating the area’s deep-rooted traditions while incorporating contemporary touches and classic San Antonio character. We were met with Spanish colonial revival architecture and outdoor water and fire features that highlight the rustic hillside landscape, inviting us to immerse in nature. We relaxed on our private patio or by the secluded hot tub and pool area.

The Villas are a short stroll from the main resort or a quick ride in the personal resort cart provided. We had so much fun exploring the rest of the resort’s 550 acres, including two world-class golf courses and a 25,000 sq. ft. destination spa.

The Villas offer the quiet serenity of a boutique hideaway paired with the extensive amenities of a renowned luxury property. Every element of a Villa stay is personalized, beginning with a private arrival and check-in experience and complimentary valet. This was the perfect girls weekend getaway and I cannot wait to return with my hubby!
