The Best SPF, Hats & Sunglasses to Stay Stylishly Safe in the Sun
The sun has come out for spring and summer, so it’s time for a seasonal sun protection refresh! Sunscreen is the most important step in my everyday routine. Not only is SPF crucial in protecting my skin from sun damage and skin cancer, but it also combats signs of aging. I prioritize sunscreen year-round, however, I take it a step further during the summer for added protection… It’s so important to combat the INTENSE summer sun! While SPF is crucial, it’s not the only way to protect yourself from the sun. In addition to sunscreen, I love utilizing things like hats, UPF clothing, sunglasses, etc., I’ve tried countless sun protection products, and have created a list of items that have become my go-to. As we step into the seasons of fun in the sun, I thought I’d share some of my favorite sun protection items to help you beat the spring and summer heat! Whether you’re traveling to the beach or just spending extra time outside, these sun protection must-haves are essential for your warm-weather plans.

The Sunscreens
I’ve tried countless sunscreens over the years and have found a handful of staple brands and products. I’ve never tried a Colorescience SPF makeup product that I didn’t absolutely love. I’m currently obsessed with the Lip Shine, Total Eye Renewal, and Face Shield Flex (all SPF 30 or higher). Supergoop is another longtime favorite, I use the Unseen Screen Stick and Unseen Sunscreen often. For dermatologist-recommended protection, you can never go wrong with EltaMD. Lastly, for full-body coverage, I always stock up on the COOLA Fragrance-Free Sunscreen Spray! These sunscreens are amazing picks to keep your skin safe and radiant all season long.
The Hats
Whether it’s an oversized beach hat, an everyday ballcap, or a visor, I love a stylish hat for added sun protection. I’ve always loved the quality and style options of Eric Javits hats, they even have UPF 50+ protection! Corazón Playero hats are one of my go-to options for a fabulous resort-wear moment! The Sunglasses
My eyes are extremely sensitive to the sun, so during the summer, I keep a pair of sunglasses on me at all times. The range of styles, colors, and brands is seemingly endless. I mean, what better way to finish off a summer outfit than a chic pair of sunnies??
