I have always loved entertaining, especially outside when the weather is pleasant. Our loggia in Fort Worth overlooks the 1st hole of the famous Colonial Country Club golf course with vivid, lush green foliage and trees. I knew it was the perfect location for my Summer al Fresco with Ala von Auersperg.
I love beginning with a classic white palette and adding pops of color through my florals, linens, and glassware. I always have monogrammed cocktail napkins and lots of candlelight with unscented candles of various heights. Have fun with your place settings by mixing a variety of pottery, china, and flatware. Remember: a flat table is a boring table! 🙂
The Fede Duster in Water Mill paired with simple white cotton shorts and tank is perfect for entertaining.
A chilled glass of crisp champagne is essential, but I also love to offer my signature cocktail; The Puppy! In the summer; it’s refreshing, lite, and the perfect drink when dining al Fresco.
Finally, house music is key. My husband adores Gypsy Kings Radio while I prefer Frank Sinatra or Dinner Party Radio. Any of these Pandora stations are sure to create the perfect ambiance!
