New Year Fitness Guide

If you read my blog yesterday, you know how much I love the new year! I feel refreshed, energized, and ready to implement healthy changes. If you follow me on social media, you also know how important exercise is to me. It keeps me fit – physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have found that the routine of working out 5 days a week is what my body and mind need. Typically, my week consists of three days of strength training, two days of pilates, and a weekend of rest and recovery. I have found that this combination is what works best for my body. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite activewear pieces (many of these I wear daily), as well as some home gym essentials. Whether you are just beginning your fitness journey or have been exercising for years, these items are my tried and true must haves!

My trainer has added this tool in to add a bit more “burn” to glute bridges and it has truly become one of my favorite workouts. For as long as I can remember, I have been loyal to Nike sneakers (which I still love and wear outside the gym). However with age, my body has grown to need more support from a platform on my sneakers… leading me to try the HOKA Clifton 8 Running Shoes. I’ve worn these for a little over 8 months and I absolutely SWEAR by these sneakers! The positive impact HOKA’s have had on my shin splints, knee, and back pain is immeasurable… I could not recommend these more!
