12 Must-Have Items in My Bag That I Use Daily
We’ve likely all seen a “what’s in my bag” blog or video before, and I must say… I love them! They’re such a fun way to get a tiny glimpse into someone else’s world. I know I have a tried and true list of the everyday essentials in my bag, but I love finding new items to add to that list (and my bag)! It’s no secret that every day is different… but you know those days that seem to take you everywhere but home? The grocery store, lunch meetings, the carpool line, kids practices, you name it! Life is unpredictable, so I always like to keep my everyday tote prepared for anything. With that being said, allow me to share my very own “what’s in my bag”! From on-the-go beauty favorites to in case of emergency must-haves, these are the everyday essentials in my bag that I can’t live without!

Keys & The Big O Key Ring
I’m sure we’ve all had to fumble around in our tote bags to locate our keys a time or two (or too many times to count). Rather than just loosely throwing my keys into my bag, I keep them on this fabulous key ring! I’ve had mine for probably 10+ years now and it makes keeping track of and easily accessing my keys so easy. It can even be worn as a wristlet which comes in handy when grocery shopping. I have the leather version but it’s also available in silicone and resin!

Glasses Pouches
When it comes to the everyday essentials in my bag, these glasses pouches are among the most helpful. I’ve damaged, broken, or even lost too many glasses throughout the years due to poor storage. Learn from my mistakes and keep one of these in your bag for safe and effective on-the-go storage! I keep one reserved for my sunglasses and another for my reading glasses. Speaking of glasses, I keep two to three of these pre-packaged moistened lens wipes in my bag at all times. I think it’s generally not a bad idea to keep a portable phone charger on you in case of an emergency. For the sake of space, skip the more bulky options and instead get the clutch portable phone charger. It’s so slim and almost weightless, so you’ll barely even know it’s there. This one goes without saying, but it’s so important to keep ourselves protected from germs. I love the size of this hand sanitizer for on-the-go protection! It’s thin and lightweight, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space in my bag. The formula is also made with moisturizing botanical oils and smells incredible!

Dental Floss Picks
I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten something stuck in my teeth while on the go. With that said, I’m not kidding when I say that I have a few of these dental floss picks on me (and in my bag) at all times! Avene Lip Balm
When it comes to the everyday essentials in my bag, I truly don’t know that I could live without this Avene lip balm! My lips are always dry, so this lip balm comes in handy more often than not. Personal Safety Alarm
Safety is key, and so is this small personal safety alarm! Ideally you’ll never have to use it, but there’s something comforting about having one on you just in case. Simply pull the top ring to activate a siren and flashing light in an emergency. Psst… this also makes for a great gift under $30.

Small Hair Brush & Extra Hair Ties
This mini detangling brush has come in handy more times than I can count! It’s the perfect size to keep in your bag without adding too much weight or taking up too much space. I also have to mention an extra hair tie or two… these are my favorite for creaseless ponytails.

Supergoop SPF 35+ Translucent Setting Powder
I apply sunscreen daily as part of my morning skincare routine, however some days come with more sun exposure and thus extra SPF. This SPF 35+ setting powder is great to keep on hand for an added layer of sun protection to your face, hair, and hands in a pinch. I also love that it’s a powder and thus won’t melt in the Texas heat.

Mini Lotion
Regardless of the season, my hands are almost always extremely dry. Hence why I keep a small tube of lotion in my bag (and car) at all times! I’ll keep this part brief, but there’s no shortage of great ways to organize your everyday bag. I highly recommend finding a bag organizer insert to place in your bag. This adds extra compartments for added organization! Amazon has many incredible options! These mini pouches are also a great compact way to store smaller items such as makeup, hair products, etc.,!
