The Rug Company

Creation is a collaborative process in almost every relationship. Last year Pam Flowers and I had the distinct pleasure of working with The Rug Company Dallas.  When we walked into their showroom, I had an immediate visual stimulation as the colors, the designs, the crafting of each rug, which is truly art, were simply incredible. I longed for every single rug in their showroom. Mitch Martin has been such an amazing asset in every single design we have collaborated. You can see the passion and dedication of every single team member from sales, to design to understanding the dedication of every skilled weather in the mills of Nepalese. They share a collective pride that they produce and source the finest quality rugs in the world.

Hand crafting each rug takes four months, but they last generations because they use the same time-honored techniques employed by artisans for hundreds of years.  Selecting the rug for our entry is a personal journey that takes time and well worth the wait…however, I cannot wait!

Our inspiration is The Rug Company’s Smoke Sunset by Adam Hunter. Colorful and delicate wisps with gradient and varied color palettes. We selected colors that work with the art in our entry and throughout our home.
