Spring break is right around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but I have been dreaming of warmer weather for quite some time. As long as I can remember, my daughter and I have had the spring break tradition of a mother-daughter trip in a warm-weather paradise… which cannot come quickly enough this year! Stay tuned for our mother-daughter spring trip. In the spirit of spring break, I have selected some must-have vacation style essentials. These swimsuits, coverups, beach bags, shoes, and accessories, are perfect for a warm-weather getaway! If you need a bit of assistance packing these fabulous finds, check out my Keeping Travel Simple and Efficient blog for my packing must-haves.
I simply love a fabulous cover-up. Layering a swimsuit with a beautiful, yet functional cover-up is the perfect way to create a pool day outfit that is chic, easy, and such a complete look! Some of my favorite cover-ups are from Everything But Water, L*Space Swim, and Nordstrom. I love a feminine, flowy cover-up in a beautiful fabric that’s a show stopper.
Shopping for swimsuits can often be a not so pleasant experience… but there are so many styles available to fit your body type and to make you feel confident. Some of my favorite styles that are on trend are the one piece suits with cutouts…beautiful! The high-waisted swimsuit bottom is back, flattering, and so beautiful paired with an elegant top.
Dresses & Rompers
I love packing dresses and rompers as it’s one and done. Just add accessories. I love packing items made from fabrics that are wrinkle-proof or can simply be refreshed with a travel steamer. There are so many fun, simple, elegant, and easy dresses and rompers that are on trend and simply beautiful.
Accessories & Bags
I love focusing on the little details that complete an outfit and an entire look…accessorizing with sunglasses, jewelry, scarves, bags, and shoes. I try packing versatile items that can be worn with a variety of different outfits, for ease and to save space. Bold color pop statement jewelry is on trend and beautiful.
When packing, although a bit difficult for me, I try to keep the number of bags to an absolute minimum. A beach vacation, I pack one larger bag that can be used as a beach or pool bag, and one (maybe two depending on the length of my stay), evening bag. I will typically travel with a simple crossbody for any daily outings.
Ahhhhhhh! My weakness! I have THE most difficult time limiting shoe options. My goal is to have a pool shoe, workout shoe, casual shoe, and an evening shoe. I will try to wear one of these during my travels. Again, my method is not perfect. My new shoe obsession is the chunky sandal in bright vibrant colors. My aging feet LOVE a block heel and mule type sandal.
