Fall travel often looks a lot different than summer travel… thus so does our packing list. As the crisp autumn breeze rolls in, so does the season of changing leaves and cozy style, the perfect time to set your travel plans in motion! The beauty of fall travel is the wide array of destinations and the seemingly endless variety in what you can experience! In honor of this season of travel, I’ve put together some destination inspiration and outfits to guide your packing list (and even tips for efficient packing). From cozy sweaters in the mountains to fabulous big city looks and trendy winery wear, these outfits have you covered for most fall travel destinations! Regardless of where your travels may take you, these outfits will help you both look and feel good while embarking on your journey!

Travel

For me, the key to traveling well is to look and feel put together. I love a matching set for travel!

Big City

Traveling to New York City, San Francisco or any other big city always inspires me to wear my chicest and most classic pieces. These black jeans would go with so many outfits!

Winery

Whether you’re headed to Tuscany or keeping it more local with Napa or Sonoma, this sophisticated but comfortable outfit would match any winery destination.

Southern City

These fabulous fall boots will have you walking the streets of Charleston, Austin, or Nashville (and many more cities!) in style!

Mountain Village

Dressing for the varying temperatures of Jackson Hole, Park City or Aspen requires layers! Love this neutral and warm vest that could pair with anything in your suitcase

Mountain

If you’re headed to Breckenridge, Vail, or another snowy ski destination, this chic, athleisure look is perfect for fashionably going from the mountain to resort.

Packing 101

Now onto the tough part… PACKING! The cooler it gets, the bulkier the items your packing gets. Below are a few tips, tricks, and items that will help you maximize your luggage space  and minimize the headache that is packing! For more travel essentials, check out this blog post and my Amazon storefront.

  • Layer Smartly: I recommend planning outfits that can be layered, allowing you to mix and match pieces for different looks. This minimizes the amount of clothing you need to pack while keeping you stylishly warm.
  • Vacuum-Seal Bags: Invest in vacuum-seal bags to compress bulky clothing, creating extra room in your suitcase.
  • Repeat when possible: There’s no shame in rewearing or repurposing an outfit or article of clothing if it didn’t get dirty. I pack this travel sized fabric refresher to freshen up worn clothes or spray clothes that smell stale from luggage.
  • Traveling with Jewelry: Pack jewelry that can be worn with multiple outfits. I HIGHLY recommend pieces that you wouldn’t be heartbroken to lose. Such as this ring from Amazon that I use in replacement of my wedding ring during travel.
