I love the simplicity of a dining table with minimal fuss but always beautiful lights that bounce off treasured collectables. Like many of us, throughout the years, I collect décor that can be used throughout my home. For my Thanksgiving table I start with a runner and literally “run” from there. A bit of humor but it’s true!! Take a look at the process of building finished with beautiful fairy lights and tall white tapers.
I am using this runner, a similar version here, I found two years ago at Z Gallery. So lovely, white velvet, and embellished with tiny crystal stones. Place down the center of your table or area you are decorating.
Add glass pumpkins. There are so many adorable pumpkins you could use; real, faux, glass, metal. Choose your look and I like working in odd numbers but for some reason I had an extra? I think perhaps a pumpkin may have been broken. Who knows…I am just going with it!
I am using three beautiful crystal obelisks, similar version here, that typically live on my entry table and candlesticks found in another area of my home. I LOVE the variation of heights and shapes. Remember: a flat table is a boring table. 😉
Nestle delicate LED white fairy lights throughout your arrangement. I purchased on Amazon but you can find in a variety of stores and online, especially with the holidays approaching. My lights are battery-operated and come with a remote that is programmable up to 8 modes. I used 2, 20-foot strands. Careful, as they love to tangle! I absolutely love the way the lights and candlelight dance off of the crystal components.
I will set the table this year, using one of my mother’s fine china patterns from Lenox. Mom LOVED collection tableware and I am blessed to inherit. Many of the pieces you see in the photos are discontinued. Incorporate your tableware; mixing and matching pieces and patterns, metals and colors.
I miss you so much mom and thank you for the memories! Enjoy!
