Every Mother’s Day, since I’ve had the incredible opportunity and blessing to become a mother, Kennedy has made breakfast for me. When she was much younger, her dad always made a special effort to celebrate the most important job in the world, being a mom. She would assist in making her favorites in the early years and as years moved forward mastered mine. I am such an early riser; I recall she shared specific instructions on making sure I slept in, as she would bring my coffee in bed. I write this with tears of pride and a heart filled with so much love. Mother’s Day this year, I want that same coffee in bed, breakfast with my family and lunch at one of my favorite restaurants.
