This homemade creamer avoids the preservatives and additives of commercial creamers without sacrificing the flavor!

Ingredients
1cup raw cashewssoftened if needed
1 ½cupwater
1tspmaple syrup or sweetener of your choice
1tspvanilla extract
pinch of salt
Instructions
Add cashews, water, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender. Cover and blend on HIGH for five minutes or until smooth and creamy. Mixture will be warm so allow it to cool.
Pour into a container, cover and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. Shake before using.

Tiffy’s Tips
If you are using a high-powered blender, (like a Vitamix) this step isn’t necessary. If not, you will need to soften the cashews for a creamy texture. Soften cashews by adding them to a bowl and covering with water. Soak overnight or until tender. Drain and rinse before using.
I always use 1 ½ cups of water but adjust for desired consistency.
I use maple syrup for added sweetener but stevia, agave, and dates are excellent choices.
