My Tips for Stress-Free Packing

Packing for vacation is a daunting task. As I am preparing for my trip to Cabo, there is not a better time to give y’all my go-to packing tips to make the process a little less intimidating!

Checklist

I use checklists in all facets of my life, specifically when packing for vacation. Mentally walking through your morning and nighttime routine minimizes the amount of necessities you forget at home. I start by writing down all the dates of my travel in chronological order (don’t leave out travel days!) From there you are able to go through day by day and plan your outfits!

Research

Take a look at the weather for your destination.  On my checklist, next to the date, I jot down the daily weather forecast with high and low temperatures, rain and wind percentage, and if we have any specific plans for that day. For instance, if you know you’ll be doing a lot of walking on a specific day, plan for comfortable shoes. Doing this makes choosing outfits surprisingly much easier!

Roll Your Clothes

This tip has SAVED ME so many times!! Rolling your clothes, as opposed to folding, saves so much space in your suitcase. Not only does this make packing a breeze, it allows for extra room in case you do a little (or in my case a lot) of shopping on your trip. 😉

Keep Essentials in Your Carry-On

Anything you absolutely cannot go one night without, or even worse- cannot bear losing, pack in your carry on. I ALWAYS keep my jewelry, medication, and a change of clothes in my bag.
